Programas
The Blue Spruce Transition Program serves students ages 14-21 as they begin working on skills needed once formal schooling has ended. On a typical day, our students will spend half of their time off campus attending various community locations to work on vocational and leisure skills. Some of the community locations we visit include libraries, museums, parks, and different job sites. Time spent on campus is focused on communication, group instruction, increasing skills of independent living, and practicing vocational skills needed for job sites. Our program is so amazing because each staff works to ensure each day and each interaction is as meaningful as it can be for our students’ lives.

What do you love about TJS?: TJS is truly such a unique place. The collaboration, care, and support that goes into each day is unmatched. Each individual, student and staff alike, are so important in creating such a wonderful school.
Favorite TJS Philosophy: Value students as individuals with their own interests, talents, and dreams.
Favorite Things To Do Outside of TJS: Outside of my time at TJS, I love reading, thrifting, trying new restaurants, and taking walks with my two dogs and partner.
